Spring Dressage Show Camp huge success
We had a great response for our new and
soon to be annual Dressage Show Camp.
The group learned a lot in their two day
camp and we had some awesome first time
scores on their Intro A test on Sunday
afternoon.  Thanks to all the parents who
came out to cheer on our young riders.
Also, thanks again to Peggy Blair for
Judging, Martina Blood for her expert
braiding demonstration, and Jessica
Brumley and Molly Smith for all their work
before and during the camp.

group, the difference between schooling and
recognized shows.)
Double Buy Buy heads to Florida

Auction rescue Thoroughbred Double Buy Buy,
is on the final leg of his full circle journey.  Foaled
at Ocala Stud in Ocala, Florida, Buy Buy left
today on his trip back to Ocala, Florida by way of
the Secretariat Center at the Kentucky Horse
Park in Lexington, KY.  Buy Buy is now in the
hands of the Florida Thoroughbred Retirement
Foundation, and will be going to prison.... Well
sort of... He will be stabled at Lowell Correctional
Institution in Ocala.  He and about 15 other
horses will be cared for by female inmates at the
facility.  The inmates learn valuable skill caring
for the animals that they can apply upon their
release and hopefully become better people.
Remember Breeze
This past week Breeze, died due to natural causes, he was 27
years old.  A favorite of many current and former lesson
students, Breeze taught riding lessons for several years here at
Cross Timbers.  Breeze was one of our original lesson horses
and has brought smiles to many people over the years.  He
loved the attention he received from his weekly riders and was
happiest when interacting with people. He was a retired
Dressage Schoolmaster when we bought him and he took many
young riders to their first shows and was always in the ribbons.
He will be a tough one to replace and we won't forget him.
